Welcome to the Bliss of Freediving!
AIDA1 – Introduction to Freediving
The AIDA1 Introduction to Freediving with Freedive Flow on Gili Air opens your mind to a whole new underwater experience. Find out why it is correct to say that we are built to dive! This course aims to help you to develop basic skills, knowledge and necessary safety procedures to enjoy freediving safely within your limits.
Experience it, feel it, love it!
Give it a go and get underwater on a breath hold in a safe environment by learning the basic techniques. We coach you on proper ways of breathing before and after a dive, relaxation exercises and explore what actually happens to our body when you go underwater. Additionally we look at the basics of equalization and introduce you to some equalization techniques so that you can get underwater without hurting your ears. Last but not least you will learn how to combine scuba diving (with an underwater breathing apparatus) with freediving in a safe way.
Duck dives, proper weighting, how to assist a diver in trouble, how to choose your equipment – with a few basic techniques you will improve your freediving experience immensely. It is all about moving as elegantly as possible while being safe at all times.
