PADI Freediver Instructor Development
The duration of the PADI Freediver Instructor Training Course is 10 days and is usually done together with the AIDA Instructor Course. It covers all aspects of modern freediving including teaching and marketing skills. The performance requirements that we ask for will be assessed during the PADI Freediver Instructor Training Course, such as:
- >40 m CWT, demonstration level technique
- 100 m+ DYN, demonstration level technique
- 4 min+ STA
- Stamina tests
- >20 m rescue
We are aware that these performance requirements are higher than what is asked by PADI. We firmly believe these are numbers which an accomplished freediver should be able to comfortably reach and thus demonstrate his or her her qualification for the instructor program.
As a successful candidate you will attain the credential of a PADI Freediver Instructor. Once you have issued 25 certifications (PADI Freediver and PADI Basic Freediver) you qualify to become a PADI Advanced Freediver Instructor and to teach the PADI Advanced Freediver Course. A total of 50 certifications, of which at least 10 must be ‘advanced’ you qualify to become a PADI Master Freediver Instructor.
Languages
Just like with other PADI courses, there are full presentation notes available in the instructor guide. When the Touch product isn’t available in a language understood by the student, the instructor has the option of delivering the knowledge development in person.
The PADI Freedive Instructor Courses in Gili Air will be held in English and German. Language support for Dutch, French, Bahasa Indonesia and many other languages is readily available. Please contact us for your additional language needs, we will do our best to make it happen!
